Whereas Mary Chapman< no role > Spinster exhibited her peticon
unto this Court at this present General Sessions of the
peace begun & holden for this County on Wednesday
the twenty sixth day of August now last [..] Settingforth
that the Petr. was put out an Apprentice by the Churchwardns.
& Overseers of the poor of the parish of St. Ann within the
Liberty of Westmr. to Jane Roxborough< no role > the wife of Stephen Roxborough< no role > to learn the Art or trade of a Mantua Maker

untill the Petr. came to the age of one & twenty yeares,
And that the Petr. hath served her said Mistress upwards
of three yeares, And that during the said time the Petr. hath
at several times been beat in a very barbarous & cruel
manner both by her Master & Mistress without any provocacon
whatsoever, and that the Petr. hath at several times
wanted both victualls & drink & other necessarys, And the
Petrs. therefore prayed this Court that she may be discharged
of her apprenticehood to the said Jane Roxborough< no role > her
Mistriss , Whereupon It was by an Order made by this

Court on the said twenty sixth day of August last
Ordered by this Court that the said Jane Roxborough< no role >
Should have notice of the said peticon & complaint
and that she & all other persons concerved should
attend this Court on Monday the thirty first day of
Augustthe same Month of August last at ten of the clock
in the forenoon to shew cause why the Petr. should not be
discharged of her Indenture of [..] apprenticehood
aforesaid to the said Jane Roxborough< no role > , the hearing &
determining the matter of which peticon was adjourned by the
said Court on that day [..] untill this present [..] Tuesday the
