Whereas William Mason< no role > Esqr. on behalfe of himselfe
and several of his Tenants (Vizt.) William Walker< no role >
Joseph Oswyn< no role > Peter Pern< no role > Peter Dethawyte< no role > and
Widdow Bremond all of the parish of St. Mary White
Chapel in thisthe saidCounty exhibited his humble
peticon & appeale unto this Court at this present
General Quarter Sessions of the peace holden for the
said County by adjornment on Tuesday the seventh
day of April instant settingforth that the Petr. & his sd
several Tenants are rated for several peices or platts
of Garden ground contiguous to their several houses
severall sumes of money for & towards the necessary
releif of the poor of the parish of Christ Church
Spittlefields in the said County, And that the said
several peices or platts of Garden ground have for several
yeares last past always been rated towards the releife
of the poor of the Hamlett of Mile End New Towne
in the parish of Stepney in the said County and not
to the Hamlett of Spittlefields , which sd Hamlett of Spittlefields
within ten months last past hath been made parochial
and called the parish of Christ Church Spittlefields in the County of Middx
And that therefore the Petr. & his sd. Tenants think
themselves aggreived by the said Poors Rate of
Christ Church aforesd Spittlefields ,and appealed to this Court
against the same, the matter of which appeale was
