To the Worshipfull his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middx: in their Generall quarter Sessions Assembled.

The Humble Petition of Wm: Kroger< no role > of the Parish of St.
James Clerkenwell in the said County

Sheweth

That Wm Crampton< no role > and Abraham Theobridge< no role >
were appointed Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish for this Present
Year and had a rate made an confirmed for therefore of the Poor
in the said Parish contained (as usual in two Books, each Book
including a distinct district or part of the said Parish, one of
which Books was collected by the said Crampton and the other by
the said Theebridge.

That Your Petitioner hath been lately appointed
one of the Overseers of the said Parish for the remaining part of
this Present Year in the stead of the said Wm Crampton< no role > who is lately
removed out of the said Parish, and by the Warrant under the Hands
and Seales of five of his Majesties Justices of the Peace dwelling
in the said Parish (by which he is appointed an Overseer as aforesaid)
is commanded and required to take upon him the Execution of
the said Office, whichwasYour Petitioner was and is ready and
willing to do, But is disabled and him [..]
the said Abraham Theebridge< no role > whichwho hath gott into this
custody both the said Books and refuses to deliver either of
them to Your Petitioner per to permit him to receive any of
the Moneys thereby assessed.

Your Petitioner therefore Humbly Praysthat
that the said Abraham Theebridge< no role > may attend
this Court with the said Books or rate at such
time as your Worships shall think fitt and that
this court will then make such Order in the Premises
as to them shall seem meet
