Middlesex and to the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish ofSt. Leonard shoreditch

WHEREAS Compliant hath been made by you the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish ofTottenham high Cross unto us whose
Hands and Seals are hereunto set, two of His Majesty's Justices of
the Peace (Quorum unus) for theCountyaforesaid, That
William Browne< no role > Ann< no role > his wife and Two
Children [..] Viz: Thos< no role > : Aged 2 years and John< no role > one Year
lately intrudedthemselvesinto your said Parish of
Tottenham there to Inhabit asyrParishionerscontrary to
the Laws relating to the Settlement of the Poor, andisthere likely
to become Chargeable, if not timely prevented: And whereas,
upon due Examination and Equiry made into the Premises,
upon the Oath of the sd William Brown< no role > and
it appears unto Us, and We accordingly Adjudge, That the said
William Browne< no role > Ann his wife & Two Children are
likely to become Chargeable unto the said Parish ofTottenham
high Cross and that the last Legal Place of Settlement of the said
William Browne< no role > was in the said Parish ofSt: Leonard
Shoreditch

These are therefore, in His Majesty's Name, to Order and Require
you the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish ofTottenham high Cross aforesaid, that you, or some
of you, do forthwith Remove and Convey the saidWilliam
Browne
< no role > Etcfrom your said Parish ofTottenham aforesd,
to the said Parish ofSt. Leonard Shoreditch andthemdeliver
to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a true
Copy hereof, whereby they are likewise Required, in His Majesty's
Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case made, forthwith
to receive the saidWilliam Browne< no role > Ann his Wife Etc
into their saidparishand provide forthem
as their own Parishioner. Given under our Hands and Seals,
the13thDay ofNovemberAnno RegniGeorgy
