really beleiving the said Bateman to have been secured as an Evidence only
did not prefer any Indictment against him which he was the rather induced to
beleive for that he this Deponent now hath in his Custody a warrant granted by
the said Mr. Jackson against the said Harwood and his Wife upon the Oath of the
said Bateman which Oath he conceives the said Mr. Jackson wod. not have
Administred to any person who he intended Should have been prosecuted And
this Deponent further saith that he hath heard and beleives that the said Bateman
is since dead And saith that he hath endeavoured to take the said Dennis
Harwood
< no role > and his Wife upon the said Warrt. in order to bring them to Justice
but hath not yet been able to discover and apprehend them or either of them.
