P adjorn Martis 19. die Aprilis 1726

Upon informacon given unto this Court that Such
part of a publique bridge called Chertsea bridge as
as in this County is very much dam prifyed by the
floods which happened the last Winter, one of the
archer thereof being broken downe, and that the
aforesaid part of the Said bridge is in great decay
for want of reparie, and that it is very requisite &
necessary that the Same Should be forthwith repaired
and that it will cost a considerable Sume of money to
repaire & amend the Same, It is thought fit and
Ordered by this Court that it be And It is hereby
recomended & referred unto [..] Sr. Isaac Tillard< no role >
Knt . James Clitherow< no role > William Cotesworth< no role > senr . John Ellis< no role >
Tho: West< no role > Philip Willshire< no role > & Nicholas Bland< no role > Esqrs .
Justices of the peace for this County or any three of
them as a Committee to take to their assistance to Some
Engineer or [..] Such able Workmen as they shall
think fit, and to take a View of Such part of
Chertsea bridge aforesaid as is in this County, and
to see if the Same is out of repaire, and if any &
what repaires are wanting & necessary to be done
thereto, And if it Shall appeare Upon Such View
that the Same is out of repaire Then to make an
estimate of what it will cost to repaire the Same,
And to treat with Workmen touching the reparie
thereof, And tomake their Report incertify an
accompt of their proceedings with their opinions in
writing touching the premisses as Soon as may be to
the Court of Generall or Quarter Sessions of the
peace to be holden for this County to the end Such
further Order may be made as the Court Shall think
just.
