John Puddington< no role > of Drury Lane in the Parish of St: Giles in
the field , in the Said County of Middlesex Distiller maketh
Oath that about ten or eleven months agoe he this Deponent
became bound in a Recognizance before Mr: Justice Ellis for
the Psonall Appearance of John Watson< no role > and Mary< no role > his Wife
who then stood indicted before this Court for keeping an ill
governed and disorderly house in the Said Parish of St: Giles in
the fields but the sd: John Watson< no role > and his wife not appearing
at the then next Sessions of Oyer and Terminer held for the
Said County of Middlesex according to the Condicon of his Said
Recognizance, they were both apprehend twice afterwards
and bound to appear at the Sessions of Oyer and Terminer
holden for the said County, and this Deponent at their instance
and acquest [..] did become bail for them for Such their appearance
at both those times, Since which the said John Watson< no role > has pleaded
Guilty to the said Indictment and is now under punishmt.
in the house of Correction, but the Said Mary Watson< no role > [..]
Appeared or pleaded to the Said Indictment, And this Deponent
further Says that he this Deponent has by all ways and
means whatsoever to the best of his knowledge, endeavour'd to
apprehend and take the Said Mary Watson< no role > in Order to bring her
to Justice and that She might plead to the said Indictment, and
did so farr Succeed therein that the last Sessions he this Deponent
brought her into Court but the Commission of Oyer & Terminer
being then adjourned to this Sessions he was forced to let her goe
but has ever Since used the utmost of his Endeavours to take her
but cannot
