of the peace for the County of Middx (Quormn unus) liveing near the parish [..]
Church of St. Andrew Holborne made the eight day of May in the year of our Lord one
Thousand seaven hundred twenty three according to the form of the statute in that
case made and prided touching a Male Bastard Child lately borne (in that part of
St. Andrews Holborne which lyeth in the libty above the barrs in the County of
Middx aforesd.) of the body of one Sarah Osborne< no role > a Singlewoman the keeping of wth
Child hath for some time past been a Charge to the said Libty above the barrs and
is so hbely to continue

First upon the Exammacon of the said Sarah Osborne< no role > (taken upon the Oath before us)
and other circumstances Wee do adjudge one Thomas Paul< no role > now or late a drawer at the
halfe moon Tavern in Aldersgate street London the Putative Father of the said Male Castard
child and wee do hereby order him the said Tho: Paul< no role > upon notice of this our order to pay
or cause to be paid to the Churchwarden & overseers of the poor of theparishand Libty
above the burrs in the said Parish of St. Andrews Holborne or to the said Churchwarden
and Overseers of the poor of the said Libty above the barrs for the time being (then Sunr
to some or one of them weeke and every week after the date hereof the sume of two
shillings and six pence of lawfull money of great Britaine for & toward, the releife
and maintenance of the said Male bastard child for so long & at such true he shall
be chargeable to the said Libty above the Barrs until he shall attame the age of
Eleaven years (if he shall so long two) At wh time the said thomas< no role > paich Shall
pay or cause to be paid to the Churchwarden and Overseers of the poor of the Sd
Libty above the Barrs for the time being or to some of one of them the sume of
four pounds of h be lawfull money for and towards; the putting forth apprtice the Sd.
male bastard child to some lawfull calling and also wee do order that the said
Thomas paul shall pay and discharge the said Churchwarden & Overseers of the Sd.
Poor & the Churchwarden and Overseers of the said Libty above the Barrs for the
time being and every of them of and from all dobts damages and deimands
all ready demanded or contracted or that may hereafter be demanded or
contracted of or by them or either of them for or by reason of the birth
bringing up or mamteyning of the said Male Bastard child in any case
what [..] And Lastly wee do adjudget upon notice Etc this one order the said Tho: Paul< no role >
find Sufficient sureties to the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the said
Libty above the Barrs for the come being or to some or one of them for the fine
P formance of all and suigular the respective articles contained in this our Order
Green under one hands & Seales the day & yeare abovewritten
