hath pleaded not guilty to an Indictment against him for a
fraud & misdemeanor is remanded and comitted to newprison
aforesaid for want of Sufficient sureties for his appearance at
the next Sessions of Oyer & Terminer to be held for this
County to Psecute his traverse with effect upon the said
Indictment to remain till he find and give such sureties
before Thomas Pindar< no role > Esqr one of his Maties Justices and
Comissioners of Oyer and Terminer for this County to whom
it is referred & recomended to take & approve thereof, then
to be delivered paying his Fees 4s-8d

who was now convicted upon Indictment [..]
for unlawfully assaulting one Sarah Fryer< no role > an Infant of the age
of seaven years with an intent [..] carually to
know & abuse her, is fined for the said offence one pound
six shillings & eight pence and ordered to be shipped naked
from the middle upwards and publickly whipped at a Carts
tayle from & over against the end of a certaine place called
Hogg lane in the parish of St Leonard Shoreditch in this County
along the publick & comon Street or Highway there to & over
against the parish Church of the said parish untill his body
be bloody, at such time as the Sheriffe of this County shall
forthwith appoint and the said Edward Edwards< no role > is remanded
& comitted to his Maties Goal of Newprison at Clerkenwell in
this County, there to remain till he undergoe the said punishmt
& pay the said Fine, then to be delivered paying his Fees 17s-4d
