This Court haveing taken Notice that Severall psons who have been
charged before Severall Justices of the peace of this County for receiving
of Stollen goods knowing the same to have been Stollen, for Assaults
on women with intent to ravish them, and for other hainous and
notorious Offences and have been bound over by Recognizance to
appeare & answer for the same at the Sessions of peace & Sessions
of Oyer & Terminer for this County have Escaped psecucon for the
Same Noe Evidence haveing been given when the Tryalls have been
brought or upon the Indictments prferred against them for such
Offences by reason that noe person or psons have been bound over
by recognizance to psecute such Offenderspsonswith Effect for the Offences
aforesaid which has given an Opportunity to such Offences to
agree & compound with the Prosecutors for Asume of Money
& there by such Rosecacons have been Shifted Soe that the
Offenders have escaped receiveing condigue punishmt, for their
Offences, which this Court is Opinion hath been an Obstruccon
of Justice and A great omission in such Justices in not takeing
recognizances to psecute such Offenders, Now [..] s the Intent
that such like Offenders may for the future be duely psecuted for
the Offences by them comitted It is hereby Ordered by this Court that
it be And It is hereby recomended & referred unto the Justices
of the peace for this County, that where any pson or psons shall
hereafter be charged before them upon Oath for receiveing of Stollen
