Upon mater Complaint made unto this Court by John Ellis< no role > of
This Court takeing
Denmarke street Esqr. alledgeing that there hath been
[..] this Court taking Notice that there hath been lately printed & published a pamphlett, Intituled,
An account of the endeavours that have been used
to suppress gaming-houses, and of the discouragement
that have been mett with, In a Letter to a Noble
Lord. London Printed in the year 1722 And that
Some part ofthe Said pamphlett in severall [..] thereof highly reflects upon the
Justices of this County or some of themMagistracy, inSumateing as if some Justices of the peace
of this County who have seemed most zealous & warm
to suppress gameing houses, are Under hand Favourers
of Gamesters & Frequenters of gaming houses, and
are for defending or at least skreening of such
Offenders,This Court doth thereupon Order that it be
