Shoreditch in the County of Middx & to the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the Liberty of Saffron Hill Hatton
Garden & Ely Rents in the psh : of St: Andrew Holbourn in the
County of Middlx : and to every of them and to all others whome
these may Concerne

Whereas it Appeareth unto us whose hands and Seales are here unto
Sett Two of his Maties Justices of the peace for the County of Middlx (Quor un)
by the Complaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the psh:
of St: Leonard Shoreditch in the County of Middlx : that Elizabeth Eldridge< no role >
late wife of Richard Eldridge< no role > (Deceased) with Three Children Vizt: Richard< no role >
Aged About Eleven years, William< no role > Aged About Nine years and James< no role >
aged About Two Years are lately came and Intruded into the said psh:
Endeavouring to gaine a Settlement There Contrary to Law and are
likely to become a Great Charge to the Said psh: if no Speedily prevented)
And Whereas upon the Examinacon of Samuel Eldridge< no role > (Brother
of the Said Richard Eldridge< no role > ) Taken upon Oath it Appeares unto
us that the place of the Last Legall Settlement of the said Elizabeth
Eldridge
< no role > was in the Liberty of Saffron Hill Hatton Garden and
Ely Rents in the psh: of St. Andrews Holbourn in the County of Middx:
and that She hath not Since Obtain'd any other Legall Settlement
elsewhere Therefore we the Said Justices upon the proof aforesaid
and other Circumstances do Adjudge and Deeme the place of her last
Legall Settlement to be in the Liberty of Saffron Hill Hatton
Garden & Ely Rents in the psh: of St: Andrew Holbourn in the County
of Middlx : and Whether by Law She with Richard< no role > William< no role > , & James< no role >
her Children aforesaid Ought to be Sent These are therefore in his
Maties Name Strictly to Charge and Comand you and Every of you
forthwith upon Sight hereof to remove and Convey the Said Elizabeth
Eldridge
< no role > and Richard< no role > William< no role > , and James< no role > her Children from and out
of the psh: of St. Leonard Shoreditch in and to the Liberty of Saffron
Hill Hatton Garden & Ely Rents in the psh: of St. Andrews
Holbourn in the County of Middx and Deliver then (together with
this precept) to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor there
or to Some or one of them who are hereby Required to Receive &
provide for them According to Law. Hereof faile not at yor: prells
Given under Our hands & Seales this 17th: day of June Anno
