the County of Middx

The humble Petition of and appeal of Martha
Jones
< no role > of the Parish of St Mary
Whitechappell in the said County
Widow .

Sheweth


That your Petitioner is rated Twelve pence P
Month besides Over Rates in the rate made for
the relief of the poor of the said Parish.

That your Petitr rents only a small Apartment
of a House which was never before charged in the
poors rate And for as much as yor Petitioner
having three Children to Main keyne and having
of late been very In time and rended uncapable
of Doing any thing towards her Subsistance See
that she is not able to pay the said rate or
any part thereof and Appeal against the same

Your Petitr. therefore humbly
Prays your Worshipps will be
Pleased to order that she may
be wholly Discharged from
paying to the said poors rate

And Yors Pets Shall Ever pray Etc.
