Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Hamblett
of Ratcliffe in the Parish of Stebunheath als Stepney in this County
exhibited their Peticon and Appeal unto this Court the first day of this [..]
present Sessions agt. a Warrant or Order dated the Nineteenth day of June [..]
last under the hands and Seales of Robert Dennett< no role > and D'oily Mitchell< no role >
Esqrs two of his Maties Justices of the peace for this County (Quor unns)
Where by one Margaret Grimes< no role > a poor impotent blind Woman
which was become chargeable to the Parish of St. Butolphs without
Aldgate in this County was removed from the said Parish of St.
Butolphs without Aldgate to the said Hamblett of Ratcliffe as the
place of her last legall Settlement, Whereupon it was ordered that the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of St.
Butolph without Aldgate Should have Notice of the said Appeal And
that they and all psons concerned Should Attend this Court this day
at ten of the Clock in the forenoon to hear and Abide the Judgment
and determinacon of this Court upon and touching the said Appeal
And whereas the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of
the said Parish of St. Butolph without Aldgate haveing now attend [..]
Court accordingly and alledged that they could not be ready this
Present day with their Witnesses to make proof on the behalfe of the
Inhabitants of the said parish of St. Butolph without Aldgate touching
the Settlement of the said Margaret Grimes< no role > , And therefore Prayed
that the hearing and determinacon of the said Appeal might be
Adjorned to the next Generall Sessions of the Peace to be held for this
County It is therefore by the consent of all the said partys thought fitt
and Ordered by this Court that the hearing & determinacon of the said
Appeal be Adjorned to the Second day of the next Genal Sessions of the
peace to be held for this County at ten of the Clock in the forenoon [..]
Hicks Hall aforesaid, And it is further Ordered by this Court that the
Churchwardens and Overseers of both the Said Parishes have dwelling [..]
given them of this Order, And that they and all other psons concerned [..]
do Attend his Maties Justices of the peace for this County on the Second
day of the said next Genall Sessions of the peace to be held for this County [..]
at Hicks Hall aforesaid at the hour aforesaid to hear & abide their Judgment
and determinacon upon and touching the said Appeal
