The humble petition of Simon Barkwill< no role > of the parish of St
James Clerkenwell

Sheweth


That yor. Petr. being almost Sixty & five years old and past his
labour was by reason of his poverty formerly discharged from paying to the poor
rate, yet notwithstanding he is reduced to great Straights is now rated to pay
towards the relief of the poor of the parish aforesd. and being Bursten & deafe
and much afflicted with paines & other distempers and helpless is altogether unable
to pay the Same

Therefore the Petr. humbly prayeth yor. Worps. will please to grant
him Such relief in the premisses as to yor. Worps shall be thought fit

And the petr. shall ever pray Etc.
