To the Worfull his Maties Justices of the peace
for the County of Middx

The humble Petition of Willm Lewis< no role >
and Henry Wright< no role > Churchwardens of
the parish of St Giles in the fields in
the said County on behalf of themselves
and other Inhabitants of the said
parish

Sheweth


That the Highwayes of the said Parish are very
much out of repair and will require a Considerable
Sume of money to repair and amend the same
Which cannot be raised without the aid of this Court

Yor Petrs therfore humbly pray that a
Rate or Assessment not exceeding three
half pence in the pound may be made
upon the said Inhabitants for repairing
of the said Highwayes according to the
direccon of an Act of Parliament in
that case lately made, to be collected by
the prsent Survey yors of the Highwayes in
the said parish And that the money
collected on the said Rate be employed and
laid out as the Justices of the peace for
this County usually meeting at the Spetiall
Sessions in the said parish shall direct and
appoint

And yor Petrs Shall ever pray Etc.
