The humble peticon of John Wells< no role >
of the parish of St James Clerkenwell
in the said County.

Sheweth

That at Easter last your petitr was Chosen to Serve the Office of
Scavenger for the upper Liberty of St John Street in the said
[..]

That your Petitr: hath lived but a short time in the sd Parish
[..] and divers of your petitrs: Neighbours who have Lived many
[..] eares therein and are of farr better abilitys then Yor Petitr
that have not served the said Office.

And for as much as your petitr: being a poor Man and having
a Sickly Wife to mainteyne is not able to serve the said
Office

Your Petitr: therefore humbly prays.
he may be Discharged from the
said Office and that some fetter
person may be Chosen in his
Roome.

And Yor Petit shall ever pray Etc.
