James Mortimer< no role > of Kingsland Comon in ye Parish of St. Mary
Islington in ye County of Midds [..] Cowkeeper Saith That
between Five & Six of ye Clock this Morning as he believes he saw
A person whose says his Name is William Lavendar< no role > talking wth.
A woman whose name hedo's not Know, but remembers that
[..] abt: last Christmas she kept A house at Kings land in the
Parish of Hackney in ye sd County & was reputed to entertain
& harbor [..] Theeves & disorerly persons in her sd houses &
that he & ye sd william Lavendar & ye sd woman continu'd
talking together abt: an hour. Whereupon yeJohn James Mortimer< no role >
Suspecting ye Sd William Lavendar to be a Horse shaler cas he
had been formerly informid desird Some Haymaker thereby to
assist him in apprehending Ye Sd Lavendar, wch they did, & upon
this Informts first Seizing Ye Sd Lavendar he drew A lodged Pistoll out
of this Pocket & Prsented to this Informts Breast, & this Informt:
to waching ye Sd Pistoll out of Lavendars hands thereupon
took upon him another Pistoll A Hanger:Upon this [..]
Informt: Carry'd Ye Sd Lavendar to his house, & there Laven [..]
phlld A [..] out of his Pocket & there [..] ober Ye Tabh; &
A set of P [..] Keys Ten in Number under Ye sd Table [..]
Lavendar own'd to be his. That then this Informt: sent for [..]
Thomas Wall< no role > A Constable of Islington ; & [..] Charg'd Sd Lave [..]
in his Custody, that thereupon Ye Sd Constable Searchs YeSd
Lavendars Pocketts & found Seven Slugs & two Bullets in [..]
Bag there, & also took out of his Pocket A small powder horn
wth some Powder in it, & Some Small Shott
