Hempsons Sword Hilt lye upon the Table in the said Room as the
Same time (his Sword being broke) And Mr. Hempsons Wigg
was alsoe Lying in the Window of the Said Room, And this
Informt: did heare Mrs. Rawlins Say to her Son Webb Rawlins
You Villain what have You done to bring me this trouble. Upon
wth he Replyed Damm You. You old Bitch with a Pistoll in his
hand (meaning his Mother) if You doe not hold Your Tongue P
will Shoot You (or words to that Effect) And this Informt: did
alsoe See James Collon with another Pistoll in his hand as the
Same time Rawlins Spoke to his Mother, And this Informant
dureing her Stay in the Said Room did See a prospective glass
lye in the Window, And this Informant Saith that James Collon
brought the handkercheife to her lodging wch was tyed abt
Mr. Hempsons Mouth, & put the Same, into this Informants
Dressor, & that She did [..] wash the Same when blody, & that
Mary Carroll< no role > formely Fielding< no role > did See her doe it, & that She this Informt. is
Positive & Sure, that was the Very [..] Handkercheife So
tyed before Mr. Hempson Month as aforesaid. And this
Informt. Very well remembers that She Said to Mr. Rawlins
if You will perswade Your Son to marry him out of the house
he would not find the Way againe, & She imediately
replyed that he knew the house as well as a Begger knew
his Pish, for he came that way two or three times a day, all
this was Said after Mrs. Rawlins Said the Noised was wth
a Drunken man [..] before the cry was heard by this [..]
Informt. And this Informant further Saith that all the said
five persons before menconed were Privey and did Act in
the Murder & Robbery of the Said Mr. Hempson And that this
Informant did Stand by & See the Same Soe done, And
this Informt: further Saith that She did alsoe See the Said
Johnson carry [..] the Said Mr. Hempson out of the Farthing
pye house Upon his back after he was Dead. And that one
of Mr. Hempsons Shooes dropt of from his foot, in the Passage
of the Said house as he was carrying him into the Farthing
Pye Feild And thatHuffe took Up the Said Shood
& what became thereof, She doth not know, And this Informt:
further Saith that She Asked Mrs. Rawlins why She did not
Wash the blood of the gentleman from of the floore in the
Said Room where he was Murdered & She Said She could
gett noe Water then, And this Informt. came to the Said house
the Monday Morning after & found the blood washed away
and the boarde Scraped not soe much as ittheynow [..] in the Said Room
And this Informt. alsoe further Saith that She Staied in the
Said house Untill the Said James Collon Webb Rawlins
Johnson &Huffe came back from disposeing or
laying down of Mr. Hempson where he was found Murdered
on the Sonday Morning, And then when they did came back they
had noe discourse, but James Collon changed a Crown poore with
[..] Rawlins [..] three pence out of the Same, wch was all there [..]
