Upon the humble peticon of Robert Smith< no role >
exhibited unto this
Court settingforth that about the one & twentyeth day of April
one thousand seven hundred & seven
he became an Apprentice
to John Weeby< no role >
of the Parish of St. Martin in the Feilds
in this
County Taylor
for the terme of seaven yeares comenceing
from the day of the date of his Indenture of apprenticehood,
and that the sd John weeby< no role >
hath not only barbarously
beaten & abused the petr. of himselfe, but hath frequently
encouraged his wife & servants soe to doe and justifyed the
therein, and settingforth & complaining of other parts suggested
in the sd peticon, It was therefore prayed by the petr. that he
might be discharged from his apprenticehood to the said
John Weeby< no role >
, Now upon hearing of what was alledged
by the sd. Robert Smith< no role >
& alsoe by the said John Weeby< no role >
and upon examinacon into the truth of the allegacons
contained in the sd Peticon This Court saw noe just cause
for dischargeing the sd Robert Smith< no role >
from his said
apprenticehood but is of opinion that he ought to continue in
the service of the said John Weeby< no role >
his Master and doth
therefore Order that the said peticon be and the same is hereby
dismissed & discharged.
