To the Rt. Worshipfull her Majties. Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middx:

The Humble peticon and Appeal of John Pether< no role > of the Hamlett
of Hamersmith Watreman .

Sheweth


That by an ordr. dated the 9th. day of June last past ordr. the hands & Seals of Phillip
Howard
< no role > and John Tully< no role > Esqrs . two of her Majtes: Justices of the peace for the County of Middx
yor. petr. was Adjudged to be the reputed Father of a Male bastard Child borne on the
body of Jane Evans< no role > on the 5th. day of June last . in the Parish of St James Westmr in this
County, and yor petr is thereby ordred to pay to the Chuchwardens & Overseers of the poor of
the se Parish the Sume of Eleaven Shillings Six Pence a week for the first four Weeks from the birth
of the Sd Child & two Shillings & Six peace for Soe long time as the Same Shall be [..] aftwards chargeable
to the Sd Parish, That yor. petr conceneing himselfe to be Aggreivd by the Adjudicacon [..] of the Sd
two Justices doe humbly Appeale to yor Worships therefrom
Yor petr therefore humbly pray yor. Worshipps will re Pleased to
appoint a day for the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the
Parish of St James Westmr. aforesd. to attend this Court for the Judgement
thereof touching this Appeal.
