County of Midds

The humble Peticonr appeale of the Churchwarden
and Overseers of the Poore of the Parish of St
John Wapping in the said County

Sheweth


That James Vandevell< no role > & Katharine< no role > his wife and Mary< no role > James< no role >
& Dorithy< no role > their Children was by Warrt under the hands and Senles
of Robt Bateman< no role > & John Webber< no role > Esqrs , two of his Masties Justices
of the Peace for the said County lately past from the Hamlett of
Wapping to the parish of St John Wapping

That the said James Vandevell< no role > was never married to the said hath
his pretended wife till the 16th. day of March last which was
after the birth of her last Child Soe that the said three Children
are illegitimate and none of them borne or Christened in the said
Parish of St John Wapping which said last Child was born in the
Said Hamlett of Wapping Stepney

Your Petr. therefore appeale from the Judgment
of the said Justices and must humbly Pray Your Worpps
to order that the Church Warden and Overseers of
the poor of the said Hamlett may appeare at such
time and place as Your Worsps shall direct to shew
cause why the said Warrt should not be Sett a side

And your Petr shallen pray Etc
