Fourteenth day of August an: dom: 1699

Who Saith that the last night her dwelling house
was broke open and that one person with a dark Lanth [..]
came into her bed room with a Baggamtt or some such
weapon in his hand and threatened to kill his there with
if she would not discover her money to him that there upon
she game him a Key of her Cubboard and told him there
was Eighteen pounds there and bid him take it sane but
her life that thereupon she opened the Cupboard and
took out there 17lb.17r in moneyes numbred and one the
person standing onotherthe out side of her house called to
the Said person in the house to come away that there upon
he went out of the window and about a quarter of an hour
after the watch came and this Informant sett them in and
found the Said summ of 17lb 17r taken away And that she
this Informant doth suspect James Gorden< no role > to be concerned
in the Said Burglary and felonie for that he the said Gorden
was observed Yesterday in the afternoon to be walk napp about
this Informants house and for that he is a person of ring
ill fame and reputation
