And to the Churchwarden & Overseer of the poore of the Hamlet of Mile and New
towne within the pish of stepney in the said County And to Every of them

Whereas Complaint hath bin made unto us whose hand & seales are
hereunto Sett into of hid Majties Justice of the peace of the County of Middx
(Quor Vnus) by you the Churchwarden's & Overseers of the poore of the
pish of St. [..] White Chappell abovesaid that Elizabeth Maddow< no role > a
Child between twelve & thirteen years said being the Daughter of
Matthew Maddox< no role > Late of the Hamlett of MileEnd newtowne aforesaid
weaver who dyed there neare Six years ago within two months after
the death of his wife mother to the sd child was lately since their
deaths by the Churchwarden & Overseers of the peace of Sd Humblett
Intended into your said pish Centaury to same where by the said
Elizabeth Maddox< no role > will [..] behave Chargeable to your said
pish unless the same be speedily prvented And Whereas Itt
appeareth unto us the said two Justice by the determination upon oath
if nearly maddox of spittle fields in this county spinster & Elder
Sister to the said their both Maddox that the said Matthew Maddox< no role >
his father was an Inhabitant Many years together in the

Churchwarden & Overseers of the poore there of the said Humble
att the publick Charg of the said Hamblett And where was legally
Settled & had gamed noe other Legall Settlement Since where upon
Wee the said ever Justice Doe Deeme & adjudge that the said
Elizabeth Maddox< no role > was legally Settled in the said Hamblett of
Mile end new towne And that the same is the place of her last
Legal settlement these are therefore in his majties name to will
& require you the said Churchwarden & Over seers of the peace
of the said pish of St: Mary White< no role > Chappell that you Same or one
of you doe forth with on sight here of remove & County or Cause
[..] & Conveyed the said Elizabeth Maddox< no role > from yor
said Psh of St. Mary White< no role > Chappell into the said Hambett
of Mile End new towne And Delivered her unto the Churchwarden
& Overseers of the poore there who are here by enquired to
provide for her according to lane here of for he nottary pish
given under our hands & Seales the Ninth day of August anne
