on Little Towerhill in Past Smithfeild in the
saidCounty of Middx and Frances Hall< no role >
Spinster & Servt: there taken on oath this
tenth day of February Anno Diu 1698.

Those two Informts: doe Severally make oath That
lately were feloniously taken & Stolve out of the aforesaid
Alehouse Two Canes one whereof being wroughtheaded
& the came of Mr Jacob Atkinson< no role > & Val abt: £10 was Stolve
on Tuesday morneing the 31st of January last & the
other thereof being a silver headed Came of Mr: Francis
Glystone
< no role > a Lodger att aforesaid house val abt: 20s was
Stolve on Wednesday morneinglast the 1st of February
Instant And that these two Informts: doe Suspect
Elizaabeth Elks the wife of John Elks< no role > to have Stolve
the said two Canes as aforesaid By reason thus
the said Elizabeth Elks< no role > wasCame to the said Alehouse
for Drinke att both the said tymes a Little afore the said two Canes

was Excep the saidElizabeth Elks the [..] was or Came
into the said house between on from the tyme they
Sawe [..] at the sd two tymes the said two
Canes [..] till the tyme the Same were Stolve & inst
by them And Further they say nott.
