Upon hearing the Appeal of the Church wardens and overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Basemgstoke in the County of Southt against an Order Dated the
Ninth day of May last under the hands and Seales of Thomas Alstone< no role > Esqr. and
Edward Chamberlaine< no role > Esqr two of his Maties. Justices of the Peace of this County
Quo [..] nus) where by the Child of One Mary Soffe who dyed lately at Kensington
was removed from the said Parish of Kensington unto the said Parish of
[..] stoke as the place of the last Settlement of the said Mary Goffee< no role > Now
upon a full Hearing of the said matter in the presence of all parties and
their Councill For as much as [..] the Church wardens & Overseers of ye [..] Pish Kensington could not made appear
to this Court that the said Mary Soffe had any Settlement in the
said Parish of Baseingstoke This Court doth therefore allow of the said
Appeale and vacate and discharge the said rented Order of the said two
Justices And doth Order that the said Child be forthwith removed and
conveyed from the said Parish of Basingstoke to the said Parish of
Kensington and delivered to the Church wardens and Overseers of the
Poor there some or one of them Who are hereby Required to receive
the same into their care and provide for it as for other poor at the charge
of their said Parish untill they can free themselves of the Charge thereof
by due course of Law
