The informations & Depositions of
Henry grover< no role > & John Brent< no role > of the Tower
of London taken before the Right Hands of
the Lord Lucas on Saturday the 12th
day of June 1697.

Henry Grover< no role > deposith that last night he
being in the Mint he saw James Rice< no role > there
and saw him lye downe in the place where
the money is coyned, and saw him take one
two half Crowns of the scattered money that
was fallen into his hole and that he saw him
putt there into his Bosome, from where this
Depont. afterwards saw them taken out, And
further saith not.

John Brent< no role > deposeth that upon Henry Gro [..]
telling him that the said James Rice< no role > had taken
the 2 half Crowns as aforesaid he searchs
him the sd: James Rice< no role > and took the half
Crowns [..] from him And farther
saith not.
