WHereas Complaint hath been made unto Us, Whose Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, Two of Their Majeties Justices of
the Peace of the County of middx. (Quorum unus ) by the Church-
Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the pish of st: Paull
Shadwell in the said County, that John
Brewman
< no role > Marriner with Elizabeth< no role > Anne< no role > & Tabitha
Brewman his Children did
lately come into the said parish
endeavouring to settle himselfe with his said Children
there without giving Notice in Writing to the sa [..]
Church-Wardens, or Overseers of the Poor, or any one of the [..]
the House of his abode in the said pish [..]
according to the Statute in that Case made and provided; An
John Brewman< no role > is since gone lose a whereby his said [..]
likely to become chargeable to the said pish A [..]
whereas it appearth unto Us the said Justices upon the Oath ofthe said [..]
Newman of the Sd pish Lighterman & ELiz Newman< no role > of esame Spinster [..]
that the sd John Newman< no role > was last legally settled in the Hamblett Wapping
Stepney in the sd County where in the yeare 1684 Mesojourned att the House of Mr
Shanor potts als Tredrey for above the space of two months And has had no other legall Settlemt. [..]
since These are therefore in Their Majesties Name straitly to Charge and
Command you and every of you, forthwith upon sight hereof to
remove and convey the said Three Children vizt: The afore named Eliz< no role > :
Anne & Tabitha Brewman< no role > from the said pish of St: Paull Shadwell
in the said County, and so from
Constable to Constable, the next and directest way to the said Hamlett
of Wapping Stepney
and deliver them unto the
Church-Wardens, and Overseers of the Poor there, who are hereby
required to provide for them according to Law : Hereof sail
not at your Perils.Given under our Hands and Seals, the Twenty
first day of January Anno Dui 1696 Annoq
