The Informacon of Daniell Ware< no role > of Water lane in
Fleete Streete BLocksmith taken upon Oath this
8th Day of June Auno Din 1695.

This Depont: saith, That about Christmas last one Thomas White< no role > and Robt.
Chapman
< no role > Comonly called Scotch Robin (the said White being a Prisoner
or Lodger in the Fleete and ye said Chapman went under ye Notion
of his man) came to this Informts Shopp in Waler lane aforesd
and brought a peece of Wood wch was into so for [..]
of an Engine to be made in from wch said peece of wood was like
the Press wch is made. use of in the Tower for Coyneing, and
accordingly this depont: made the said Iron, and the said White
paid there pounds and upwards for it, and afterwards that
being too little the said White be Spoke bigger for [..] wch
this Depont: made for him, and he paid ten pounds and [..] or upwards
for it and when these two Irons were made, the said White
and Chapman came againe, and be spoke some other Iron wth
Screwes, which are like the Cutters used in the Tower for
cutting of Silver and Gold round fitt for the stampe, of these
this Depont: made two of Sevall Sizes and they paid this depont:
for them about Six pounds, And this Depont: further saith
that when the said Chapman and White was last wth this
depont: about ye great press the said Chapman complained he had lost a Dye
out of his Coale pockett and the said White & Chapman
Offerred Symon Foxgill< no role > (who way then this deponts: Servt) a
Guinnea to help him to it againe and about three or four dayes
after, the said Chapman being at this depont: Shopp aforesd
this depont: asked him if he had found his Dye he answered
noe, but the next Morning he had fetch another, but did
not say from where he had felcht it, And this depont:
saith that about three weeks since, this depont: was at one Mr
Busbys house in Salisbury Court , and there he mett wth one
John Thomas< no role > of hauging sward ally were Fleete Streete) wth said
John Thomas< no role > told this depont: that about Christmas last he
found a peice of Iron were Mr. Pooles Brew house in Salisbury
Court , but could not tell for what use that Iron was, and shewed
it to this depont:, and this depont: lookeing on it found it to
