& prefferd to sell to this
Informat: a Silver Watch withoute a Studded lase
& askt fifty Shillings for it & this Informt: prottend
to give him one pound & five Shillings for it, which
he willingly would receive for it , Then this Informt
Examin'd the sd John Davis< no role >
how he came by the Sd Watch
who prtently answrd: this Informt that he bought ye.
Sd Watch of a Watch maker liveing in Leicester feilds
whereupon this Informant desired the Watchmakers
Name but ye Sd John Davis< no role >
Said aftrwards that he
bought the sd Watch of a goldsmith in Newport Street
whereupon this Informat: suspected that sd John Davis< no role >
to have Slolne the Sd & watch soe went & enquired at ye
Sd goldsmith who denyed that evr he had or south
Such a Watch to him or any orh Pson and furthr
sayth not
