Whereas Complaint hath been made unto Us, whose Hands
and Seals are hereunto set. Two of Their Majesties Justices of
the Peace of the County of Mrss (Quorum unus) by the Church-
Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Hamlet of Wapping in
the Parish of Stepney in the said County, that William
Budd
< no role > dece & Sarah Budd< no role > his wife dis
lately come into the said Hamlet
endeavouring to settle Themselves these
without giving Notice in Writing to the said
Church-Wardens, or Overseers of the Poor, or any one of them, of
the house of their abode in the said Hamlet
according to the Statute [..]
the paid William Budd< no role > [..]
likely to become chargese [..]
whereas it appeareth unto Us the said Justices upon the Oath of the said
Sarah Budd< no role >
that those. Willm. Budd< no role > her husband was last legally settled in the Parish of
St Pauls Shadwell where he lived most part of the Life till
he Married her the 26th day of October 1685 Our had nother Legall settlemt
These are therefore in Their Majesties Name straitly to Charge and
Command you and every of you, forthwith upon sight hereof to
remove and convey the said Sarah Budd< no role >
from the said Hamlet of Wapping in the
Parish of Stepney in the said County, and so from
Constable to Constable, the next and directest way to the said Parish
of St. Pauls Shadwell in the County aforsaid
and deliver her unto the
Church-Warderis, and Overseers of the poor there, who are hereby
required to provide for her according to Law: Hereof sail
not at your Perils. given under our Hands and Seals, the Thirty
forth day of July Mr. Regins Rs & Rue Grad & mon
