The Informacon of John Miles< no role > of Cox hill in
the County of Essex butcher taken upon oath
the 4th day of January No Dom 1691 : before
us whose names are Subscribed there Mats,
Justice, of the peace of the County aforesaid
at our petty Sessions held at White Chaple .
for the Tower Division

Who saith that on Saturday night last being
the Second of this Instant January about Seven
a Clock in the Evening he went into a houses on
Tower hill & Called for a pot of beere & Prsently
[..] a Woman Came & Catched him about the neck
Crying out old Gentleman how Doe you, & kissed
him & that there Stood by another Woman &
she that Went for the Woman of the houses, in
which time of the Womans Embracing him he
cost out of his pocket the Sum of Nine pounds
& upwards, & this Informed further saith that
[..] he missing his money hold the
Woman of the house she had It, & seized her
& sent for on officer who saith his name is
John Sedgwick< no role > & charged him with the Sd.
Woman, who Carried her to Mr. Robins house, but
he being not at house the said Sedgwick< no role > said he
would Secure her till Monday Morning which
this Informed did him be cure to doe, but since
the paid Woman as the officer Prsends hath Escaped
& Cannot be formed This Informd. further said
that the other Women run out of the house &
left onely the Woman of & house to he secured
