Upon reading the humble peticon of Thomas Collett< no role > of London mercht
exhibited unto this Court thereby shewing that the Peticonr hath
a Country house att Bromley in this County which he took for
his wives takeing the Air in the summer time and that the
peticonr is Deputy of the ward of Bridge within London and
a Comissionr and one of the Comittee for assessing their Maties
taxes in the City of London and verry seldom lieth out of the
City And that the peticonr is informed the parishionrs of Bromly
have named and chosen him one of the surveyors for the
highways of the said pish for the year ensueing which the
peticonr (by reason of his constant attendance on their Maties
Service in London) can in noe wife serve, and praying that
he might be excused from serving the said office of surveys
of the Highways and that the said parishionrs of Bromley
may be ordered to choose another pson into the said office in the roome & place of
the peticonr And upon examinacon of the said matter Itt
appearing to this Court that the substance of the said
peticon is true Itt is thought fitt & ordered by this Court
that for the reasons aforesaid the said Thomas Collett< no role > be
discharged from serving the said office of surveys of the highways
of the said parish of Bromley for the year ensueing And that
