Whereas the second day of this prsent Quarter Sessions of the peace
upon reading the humble peticon of James Bayly< no role > James Pulman< no role >
Marriners and John Tyrack< no role > gent Inhabitants of the lower
hamblett of Wapping Stepney in this County setting forth that they
were chosen scavengers thereby the Churchwarden & Overseers
of the poor and other officers of the same Hamblett contrary to the
true intent & meaneing of a late Act of Parliament in that
case made & Pvided Itt was ordered that the said Churchwarden
& Overseer of the poor should attend this Court this day to shew
cause why the Said James Bayly< no role > James Pulman< no role > & John Tyrack< no role >
should not be discharged from the execution of the said office
of scavengers and some other fitt psons chosen scavengers of
the said Hamblet in their roome & place Now upon a full
examinacon of the said matter in the Prsence of all the said
Plies Itt appearing to this Court that the said James Bayly< no role >
& James Pulman< no role > are Masters of Shipps and that their
occasions are cheifly att Sea and they are Seldome att home
This Court doth [..] discharged the said James Bayly< no role > and
James Pulman< no role > from executing the said offices of scavengr
