The Examinacon of Francis Okey< no role > of Chelsey in ye county
of Midds Victualler taken upon oath the 3d. day of
May 1691 . before Richard Woodward< no role > Esqr . out of their
Majesties Justices of the Peace for the County of Midds
upon the suspicon of the robbing and murthering of
William Philldew< no role > of Newport market in the parish of
St. Anns in the said County of Midds Carpenter . The Sd
Francis Okey< no role > being first sworne upon the holy Evangilists
saith That on Munday the 27th. of Aprill last Willm

into this Deponents house at ye signe of the worlds end in [..]
Chelsey aforesd. betweene 10: and 11. of the Clock in ye [..]
forenoone, and continued there till about 5. or 6. in the
afternoone, and afterwards they went to the widow
Hunts at ye Signe of the Cock in Chelsey aforesaid
where as this Depont. was afterward informed That
Henry Peters< no role > should say this was his old Landlord mea [..]
-ing Phildew, and askd him what he would doe now he had [..]
left off his house and was broke or words to that effect
Phildew said he would get into the Gards, Peters to [..]
him yt. would cost a great deale of money, whereupon [..]
Phildew answered I have money enough and putting
his hand in his Jocket pluckt out both silver and gole [..]
afterward as this derpont. was informed by the said [..]

the said King to kill his old Landlord meaning the
said Phildew and robb him of his mony as he was [..]
goeing home over the feilds and the said King desired [..]
the Groome to tell Phildew, that Peters had a [..]
