Order for erecting a
Watch house at Cowe
Crosse}


Upon the Humble Petition of the Constables Headbors
and other Antient Inhabitants of the Parish of St. Sepulchres
in this County Exhibited unto this Court thereby Shewing that
they have noe Watch house within the said Parish wherein to
Shelter them from the Extremity of the Weather when on their
Watch and that they want thereof hath Already Occasioned the [..]
Death of several of the said Inhabitants and they are not longer
able to Execute their Offices without hazard of their lives and
therefore praying an Order of this Court for liberty to Erect as
Watch house in the said Parish near the Whipping post Itt
is thought fitt and Ordered by this Court that the said Constables
and Headboroughs doe forthwith Erect and sett up a Watch house
near the Whipping post att Cowerosse in the said Parish
att the Charge of the Inhabitants of the said Parish and that
the same be Erected with a flatt roofe and doe not Exceed Five
Foot in height above the surface of the Street there.
