December 1798.

Resolved That the further Consideration of the
said Report be postponed till the next Session and that
the above Committee be Continued and that they Report
their proceedings to the Court on the County Day of the
next Session.

Resolved That all the Members of the Committee
appointed to Inspect the General concerns of the
Prisons belonging to this County be added to this
Committee, that they form one Committee and
that it be an Open Committee

Ordered That the Prison Committee do
Advertize for proposals for such sort of Butchers
Meat Etc. as may in future be wanted for the use
of the Prisoners in the House of Correction

Resolved That the Thanks of the Court be
given to The Reverend Dr.. Glasse and that he be
requested to continue his assistance and attention
to this Subject.

By adjournment same Day.

The following Memorial of Mr. Burchell
the County Treasurer being Read Vizt.

"To his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the peace for the
County of Middlesex in Session Assembled.

"The Memorial of Joseph Burchell< no role > their
"Treasurer -

"Sheweth

"That by 34th. Geo. 3d. the Justices are empowerd
"to Order payment to Treasurers for their extraordinary
"trouble Labor and Expences in the Execution of their
"Office whilst the Militia are Embodied and in
"Actual Service.
