to destroy himself in his Cell at the Moment when he expected<lb></lb>

for Re-examination this he<lb></lb>
effected by raising his Bedstead on one end and fastening<lb></lb>
his Sheet twisted in a sort of Cord to it, in his Struggle he<lb></lb>
pulled down the Bedstead which fell on his head and<lb></lb>
crushed his skull to pieces the Coroners Inquest brought<lb></lb>
in a Verdict of Felodese and <rs type="persName" id="LMSMGO55611_n1099-2">Joseph Gullett</rs>

his Name) was buried in the Highway near Penton place</p>
<p n="1100">The Governor also Reported to the Committee on this<lb></lb>
Day that one Hughes as well as several others of the Mutineers<lb></lb>
had been very riotous and disorderly and that Hughes<lb></lb>
had been put in Irons and that as he had threatened<lb></lb>
to hang himself The Committee thought proper to Order<lb></lb>

to put Handcuffs on any Prisoner that<lb></lb>
betrays a Disposition to Suiside</p>
<p n="1101">At this Committee the Governor Reported that he<lb></lb>
had caused a large Sawpit to be made under the direction<lb></lb>
of Mr. Brayrs the County Mason at the Expence of<lb></lb>
about £10. which would have Cost £40. if it had been made<lb></lb>
by <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55611_occ400">Wokmen</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55611_occ400" type="occupation" value="Wokmen"></interp>
from without the Prison that four Pair of<lb></lb>
<rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55611_occ401">Sawyers</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55611_occ401" type="occupation" value="Sawyers"></interp>
were actually employed earning a very considerable<lb></lb>
Sum in a way as the Committee conceived not only bene-<lb></lb>
ficial to the County but of great service to the Prisoners<lb></lb>
themselves some of whom will learn a Trade that will<lb></lb>
be very useful to them if they are disposed to follow it after they<lb></lb>
are discharge.</p>
<p n="1102">The Court will be pleased to take notice that the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55611_occ402">Sawyers</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55611_occ402" type="occupation" value="Sawyers"></interp>

the Smiths and the Washerwoman are allowed one Pint of<lb></lb>
Porter P. Day and no more under the Direction of the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55611_occ403">Surgeon</rs>

it being supposed that their Labour is such as absolutely to<lb></lb>
