July 1797.

Resolved that the said Report be Received and Confirmed
and that the Clerk of the Peace do issue the usual Orders upon the
Treasurer of this County for Payment of the several Sums therein
mentioned Amounting together to the sum of £1272..18s..2¼d

By adjournment same Day.

An Act of Parliament entitled "An Act for Empowering
the Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex , at their
General or Quarter Sessions of the peace to make a fair and
Equal County Rate for the said County being laid before this
Court and Read

The Clerk of the peace Reported that he had received
Returns pursuant to the directions of the said Act from all the
Parishes and places in the said County except the following Vizt.
Ickenham , Littleton , Twickenham , Teddington & Hanwell
and that the Returns made by the Parishes of Saint Mary le,
Strand , St. John at Hackney , Hillingdon , and Heston were
not quite conformable to the said Act-Ordered That the
Clerk of the peace do write a Letter to the Officers of the Parishes
who have neglected to make any Return to desire them to make
their Returns to him immediately and that he do also write
a Letter to the Officers of the Parishes who have made doubtful
Returns desiring them to call upon him to Explain and
amend the same and that this Court do meet here on Friday
the 21st. Instant at Ten block in the forenoon to take the
said Returns into Consideration

The Revd. Dr.. Glasse Reported the proceedings of the
Prison Committee since the last Session.
