May 1797.

Leave to approach Your Majesty with our most
sincere Congratulation on the Nuptials of her Royal
Highness the Princess Royal with his Sorene Highness
the Hereditary Prince of Wirtemburg .

When We reflect Sir, on the exemplary Virtues of
this Amiable Princess , We cannot but embrace at the
same Moment the opportunity of congratulating her
Royal Consort on an Alliance likely to prove so
conducive to the Happiness of his Serene Highness a
sense of which We doubt not will be continually
increasing in his Mind, in proportion as he shall
become better acquainted with her Serene Highness's
Prieminance of Merit our Expressions of Congratulations
would be mixed with those of Regret on the removal of
so bright an Example from our Country if so many
similar Instances did not yet remain, within the Circle
of Your Majestys daily observations of Personages, whose Virtues
are an Ornament to the Female Character in General and
to Your Majesty's Royal Family in particular

May Your Majesty together with our most
Gracious Queen, long live to reap the Fruits of Your Vigilance
and Care in having inculcated by Precept and illustrated
by Example, those Virtues which not only add stability and
Dignity to Your Majesty's Throne but extend the Honour
of Your Majesty's august Family whereever the name of the
illustrious House of Brunswick is known or mentioned.

And may Your Majesty's Roal and affectionate
Subjects have the Comfort of beholing every event take place
which may contribute to establish the peace, secure the Welfare
