the Men at Work some little time ago they were Eighteen
Inches below the foundation, and he was informed the east
Wednesday, that they were then three feet below it.
The Trustees taking into Consideration their Surveyors
Report Resolved as it is a County Birdge, that the
Trustees of this Turnpike have nothing to do with it
except keeping the Pavement and the Posts and Rails
between the footway and Carriage way and the side Walls
in repair by virtue of a Contract some years ago entered
into with the County by Order of Sessions, for which Ten
Guineas Yearly are paid out of the County Rate of this
Trust. That a Copy of their Surveyors Report with a
Copy of this Minute relative to the said Bridge be sent
to the Clerk of the peace desiring him to lay it before the
Magistrates at the next Sessions and requesting that
the County Surveyor be immediately sent down to view
the Works that are going on that he may be able to
Report his Opinion to the Magistrates and in the mean
time take such measures as he may think proper
to prevent any damage to the said Bridge.
Resolved That Mr. Rogers be directed to view the
Bridge
at Brentford
last any Damage should be done
to it by the Workmen belonging to the Committee of the
Grand Junction Canal
and Report his Observations
thereon to the next Sessions.

Resolved That the papers relative to the House
of Correction for the County of Dorset
be laid upon the
Table and deposited with the Clerk of the peace
for the
Inspection of the Justices.
