April 1796.

Mr.. Rogers's plan and Estimate be received by this
Court and adopted which States that the Work may
be done for £22..0s..0d. and the same being seconded
was carried in the Affirmative.

Moved That the Office of Task Master is
no longer necessary but is a Burthen to the County of
about £100. Per Annum and that Michael Gamson< no role >
the present Task Master be no longer Continued
which being seconded was carried in the Affirmative

Moved That such plan and Estimate presented
by Mr. Thwaites of< no role > a Turrett Clock for the Prison
as this Court shall approve be received and that
the Work be Ordered to be done according to such
Approved Plan.

Resolved That the Estimate of a Clock
amounting to £118..18s..0d be adopted and that
Mr.. Thwaites be directed to provide and put up
one at that price in the manner proposed by him

By adjournment same day

The following Answer from The Right Honble
The Earl of Chalmondeley sent by Command of
His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales to the
Address which had been presented to His Royal
Highness from the Magistrates of this County was
laid before the Court by the Chairman and Read
and the same was as follows Vizt.

Lord Chalmondeley presents his Compliments
to Mr. Mainwaring he has had the honor to lay
before the Prince of Wales the Address from the
Magistrates of Middlesex , and has His Royal
Highness's Commands to say that he is highly sensible
of this mark of their attachment and regard towards
himself and the Princess .
