<p n="3831">Whereas by virtue of an Act of Parliament made and passed in the<lb></lb>
Twelfth year of the Reign of his late Majesty King George the Second<lb></lb>
entitled "An Act for the more easy assessing collecting and levying County<lb></lb>
Rates." the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55610_occ1558">Justices of the Peace</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55610_occ1558" type="occupation" value="Justices of the Peace"></interp>
in that part of Great Britain called <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55610_geo2989">England</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55610_geo2989" type="placeName" value="England"></interp>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55610_geo2989" type="type" value="undefined"></interp>
<lb></lb>
within the respective limits of their Commissions at their General or Quarter<lb></lb>
Sessions or the greater part of them then and there assembled having full<lb></lb>
power and authority from time to time to make one general Rate or<lb></lb>
Assessment for such Sum or Sums of Money as the Justices in their discretion<lb></lb>
shall think sufficient to answer all and every the ends and purposes<lb></lb>
mentioned in the said Act. Now Forasmuch as it appeareth unto this<lb></lb>
Court that more than three fourths of the Money of the last Rate made in<lb></lb>
May Session last being the last preceeding Rate hath been paid and<lb></lb>
expended to answer the ends and purposes mentioned in the said Act of<lb></lb>
Parliament and that it is necessary a considerable Sum of Money should be<lb></lb>
raised and a Rate made upon the Towns Parishes and Places in the said<lb></lb>
County for raising of Money to answer the several ends and purposes<lb></lb>
mentioned in the said Act of Parliament This Court upon consideration of<lb></lb>
the Premises is of Opinion and doth accordingly Order that General Rate be<lb></lb>
made and assessed upon every Town Parish and Place in the said County.</p>
