December 1789.

Resolved that Mr Rogers the County Surveyor
be appointed Clerk of the Works to the New House of Correction
upon the same terms as Mr Cockerell held the same, and that
he do appoint a Laborer in Trust with the Approbation of the
Committee appointed to superinted the said Building.
