By Adjournment same day.

The Treasurer for the County having stated to the
Court that there was a considerable Sum of Money due from Mr Leslie
the High Constable of Westminster on account of the County Rate and
having also informed the Court that the cause assigned by Mr Leslie
for his Arrear was the Parish Officers of Covent Garden making
default in the payment of the Quota due from that Parish
Ordered that Mr Leslie do forthwith pay the balance due from
him on Account of the County Rate to the Treasurer of this County
and in case the Parish Officers of the Parish of Saint Paul Covent
Garden refuse payment of their proportion that he do immediately
enforce the same according to Law. And the said
County Treasurer having also informed the Court that there was a
Balance of £183..3..5 remaining due from the Executors of Mr
George Elliot< no role > the late High Constable for the Tower Division on Account
of the County Rate Ordered that Application be made by the said
Mr Burchell to Mr. Elliots Executors requiring them forthwith to pay the
said Balance into his Hands.

By Adjournment same day

Some Accounts of the late James Paine< no role > Esqr . relative to
Chertsey Bridge , being laid before the Court by Thomas Collins< no role > Esquire
and it appearing to the Court that the matters between Mr Paine and
the county had been referred to a Committee to adjust the same and
that Committee not having proceeded to make any Report thereon
Resolved that the said Committee and any other Magistrates who
think proper to attend do meet at Guildhall Westminster on the first day of the
next Westminster Sessions and proceed to settle and adjust the same

And it not appearing by the Accounts now delivered in that
any credit is given for the Materials of the Old Bridge Ordered
that Mr Paine be informed thereof and of the time and place of
the Meeting of the said Committee.
