of New Prison to take
Care of the House of
Correction Until further
Order be made

Upon Information given to this Court that William Jones< no role > late Keeper
or Governor of the House of Correction at Clerkenwell departed this
Life on Tuesday the Sixteenth day of this Instant whereby the Office
place or Employment of Governor or Keeper of the said House of Correction
is Vacant Which Office place or Employment being in the Appointment of his
Majesties Justices of the Peace of this County It is hereby declared that his
Majesty's said Justices will proceed to the Election and Appointment of a fit
and proper Person to be Governor or keeper of the said House of Correc-
tion in the room and stead of the said William Jones< no role > upon the County Day
of the next Session And it is Ordered that William Pentlow< no role > keeper of New
Prison at Clerkenwell do take Care of the said House of Correction in the
mean time and until further Order Shall be made herein and he is hereby
thereunto Appointed Accordingly and he is to be Allowed the Fees and
perquisites belonging or Appertaining to the said Office during such time
as he shall take Care of the same House of correction.

About Disorders in
Moor Fields

Upon reading an Application in Writing of Several Persons Inhabitants
of the Neighborhood of Moor field which extends into the Tower and
Tinsbury Divisions of repeated disorders committed there in to the
Common Nusance and Terror of the said Inhabitants and upon reading a
presentment of the Grand Inquest founded upon the said Application It is
Ordered that the High Constables of the Several Divisions Aforesaid do
Attend the Court at Hicks Hall aforesaid tomorrow at twelve of the Clock in
the forenoon to receive the Directions of the Court touching the Premises.

Court Room of Hicks
Hall Etc. to be reapair'd}

The Court Room of Hicks Hall aforesaid for holding the Session of the Peace
and Oyer and Terminer in, being in need of White washing and other
Amendment and the Cieling of the Great Dining hall of the said Session
House being dirty and broken It is Ordered that the said Court Room be
thoroughly Whitewashed Cleansed and amended where Wanted and
the Cieling of the said Dining Room be papered and the Bell rehung so
as to prevent damage to the said Cieling and Paper all which is to be
done under the direction of Boulton Mainwaring< no role > Esquire one of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace of this County at the Charge of this County
