<p n="341">Certificates should be granted in Sessions time, nor 'till<lb></lb>
after the adjournment day of every Sessions, Prosecutions<lb></lb>
might be regularly carried on without delay of Justice or<lb></lb>
oppressing the subject.</p>
<p n="342">Its' also apprehended, that were the Justices to agree<lb></lb>
amongst themselves, that all persons brought before them<lb></lb>
in Sessions time by virtue of a Bench Warrant and not<lb></lb>
into Court, should enter into Recognizance to appear and<lb></lb>
plead the last day of the same sessions, or on the<lb></lb>
adjournment day thereof, and let the Recognizance be<lb></lb>
returned to the Clerk of the Peace the day after taken, this<lb></lb>
would likewise prevent a delay of Justice, and put a stop<lb></lb>
to persons taking out Bench Warrants against themselves<lb></lb>
which have been frequently practised of late for a delay<lb></lb>
of Justice, tho they might have gone into Court and<lb></lb>
pleaded.</p>

in the Morning to assist the peace Officers in the apprehending and<lb></lb>
Securing Street Robbers & Gamblers, and for the safe carrying George<lb></lb>
Cox a Suspected Gambler upon a Writ of Habeas Corpus before the<lb></lb>
Lord Chief Justice of the Kings Bench to prevent his being rescued<lb></lb>
It is Ordered by this Court that the sum of six shillings be allowed & <lb></lb>
paid out of the Colt Money belonging to the Justices of the peace of<lb></lb>
this County to the said Soldiers for their subsistance and also that<lb></lb>
one shilling for Coach hire for <rs type="persName" id="LMSMGO55602_n349-1">John Elliot</rs>
