being Built in a very Crooked manner<lb></lb>
was Exceeding Dangerous & Inconvenient to all<lb></lb>
Passengers & by its Narrow turning frequently occasioned<lb></lb>
ye Overthrowing of Coaches Chaises Carts Waggons and other<lb></lb>
Carriages by which means ye. Lives of Several of his<lb></lb>
Majestys Subjects have every year been lost Even three in<lb></lb>
one Day & others greatly Endangered.</p>
<p n="1692">That your Petrs. observing a New Bridge is now Building<lb></lb>
in the Same place & in the Same Crooked Direction as ye<lb></lb>
former they beg leave to Represent to your Worships the<lb></lb>
great Dangers & Inconveniencys which they have<lb></lb>
Constantly observed has happen'd from the manner<lb></lb>
in which the former Bridge was Built & which they<lb></lb>
Apprehend will still Continually happen to the<lb></lb>
Imminent Danger of the Lives of all persons passing over<lb></lb>
the Said Bridge if it be Built in the Same form in which<lb></lb>
it is now Carrying on.</p>
<p n="1693">That your Petrs. Apprehend ye. Said Bridge may very<lb></lb>
Easily & at a Moderate Charge to the County be made<lb></lb>
Strait Especially as there is provision made for that<lb></lb>
purpose by an Act passed the last Session of Parl. for<lb></lb>
Repairing & Building of County Bridges And as the Same<lb></lb>
might be Erected in a Strait Line if a Small piece of ye.<lb></lb>
adjacent Ground was purchased for that purpose.</p>
