Middlesex to Wit

The Information of Sarah Toppin< no role > of No 6
Temple Lane in the City of London Widow
and Laundress taken before me this 11th. day
of March 1788

Who being upon Oath saith, that she is a Laundress
in the Temple , and as such has the Case of several
Gentleman Chambers-That she is a Widow and lives
at No. 6 in Temple Lane in the City of London -That she
left her Lodgings in Temple Lane aforesaid about ten
o Clock yesterday morning-That she double locked the
Door of her Appartment and is very positive that
at the time of her so going out the following Articles
Viz one Metal Watch-one Devonshire Silk Gown one
clouded Silk Gown and Coat and divers other Articles
of Wearing Apparel were safely locked thereinandThat about
Six o'Clock this Informant was called home and was
informed that her said Lodgings had been broken open
That [..] upon her hastening home she
found that the outer door of her said Appartment had
been broken open, many of her drawers broken,
and all the foregoing Articles Stolen away
