taken before me this 5th day of
March 1784

Who on his Oath says that on Monday the Ninth of February
last, two persons now present who call themselves William
Anthony Stone< no role >
and William Cox< no role >
, came into his Shop together,
and desired to took at a gold Shirt Buckle That this Informant
shewed said Stone a Quantity of Buckles, and whilst he was
looking at them, the said Cox stood by a Glass Case That
during the time they were in his Shop a third Man came
in and asked to took at a Pin, who not finding this Informants
at [..] , said "He would call again" That during the time
the said Stone and Cox were in this Informants Shop, this
Informant had occasion to go into a Back Room to fetch
a Book That neither of them purchased any thing and both
went out together after staying in the whole about a Quarter
of an Hour That as seen as they were gone the missed a
Pearl King, and in about Half an Hour afterwards, he missed
about 8 or 9 Prings, which were in a Glass Case, when
they came into his Shop And this Informant further says
he is very sure that the said William Anthony Stone< no role >
and
William Cox< no role >
stole his said Goods.
